Tim Conway

"There’s something about being on the water – the sights and smells. You just can’t beat it!”

Tim was born and bred on the Central Coast and comes from a long line of boat lovers. He’s a seventh-generation ship's captain, so being on the water is part of his DNA.

Tim and his equally friendly Chocolate Labrador, Milo, have long been servicing the Central Coast as part of their family run business, Central Coast Ferries and for 25 years, they've focused on engaging the community to enjoy the waterways.

Whether it’s improving the daily commute to work or providing a private ferry service to the football or a favourite restaurant, their personalised and friendly approach is a welcomed addition to anyone’s day.

Many of the locals will hop on the ferry at Empire Bay for the short 10 minute ferry ride across to Woy Woy, which saves a good hour on the daily commute … and what better way to travel to work!

Tim is a lover of life and is a huge advocate for the Central Coast. He lives in Davistown, where the laid-back community means that you can take life at your own pace. With the opportunity to be on the water every day, well, Tim nails it when he says

"There’s something about being on the water – the sights and smells. You just can’t beat it”!

The lifestyle on the Central Coast means spending more time with the people that you love, and in Tim’s case, this includes Milo. He’s just as much part of the team at Central Coast Ferries as any other family member, and is a favourite with the locals. It’s his excitable burst of energy that encourages Tim to jump out of bed at 5am to make the first ferry run.
